Seventh and eighth grade students may participate in unofficial or exhibition status in individual sports (Cross Country, Tennis, Wrestling, and Track). Seventh and eighth graders may not participate in Varsity of JV competition and may not travel to overnight competitions.
2. Each student must have a physical exam and a certified statement from a physician (nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant) that the student is medically qualified to participate in the designated sports. This form must be on file with the Nurse before he/she can begin practice. An athletic physical is valid for one calendar- year from the date of examination.
3. Each student/parent must complete a Power of Attorney for Medical Care of Dependents form. This form must be on file with the DoDDS Athletic Sponsor (Sponsor) by the end of the first week of practice.
4. Each student and parent must sign and date a Rules of Eligibility and Conduct form and return it to the Sponsor by the end of the first week of practice. The signed copy of this form will be kept on file with the Sponsor.
5. Any team member who is suspended from school is automatically suspended from the team for the duration of the school suspension. Re-instatement to the school does not automatically re-instate the student to the team. Re-instatement to the team is at the discretion of the Sponsor in consultation with the Principal.
6. Students are ineligible to participate in competition if:
(a) they have not practiced a minimum of 10 calendar days.
(b) they have not practiced a minimum of 2 days in any week
(c) they are absent from school on the day of competition (or the day before competition in the case of Saturdays) for more than half of the school day (Note: Students must be present for at least half of the school day to be eligible to attend the evening practice.)7. Pursuant DoDEA policy, a student whose grade point (from the previous semester) is below 2.0 (or more than 1 failing grade) will be placed on academic probation for the entire season. A probationary student will have his/her grades monitored every 3 weeks throughout the season. In order for a probationary student to remain eligible to participate, these 3-week grade checks must yield a grade point of 2.0 or higher and there cannot be more than 1 failing grade. A probationary student whose grade point falls below 2.0 (or more than 1 failing grade) will be deemed ineligible for the remainder of the semester. There are additional conditions involving freshmen, transfer students, and fall sports. The Athletic Director will notify students of their status at the start of the season. The Assistant Principal will notify the parents of ineligible students at the start of each season.
8. Pursuant DoDEA policy, all eligible students must be monitored on a weekly basis. Grade checks will be performed each Tuesday of the season. Any student who has more than 1 failing grade will be ineligible for participation for all games/scrimmages commencing on Wednesday (0800) through the following Wednesday (0800). Students may practice with the team during the suspension period. Students can regain eligibility on a weekly basis. The Athletic Director will notify the students if they are ineligible. The Assistant Principal will notify the parents of ineligible students.

At the discretion of the Sponsor, in the case of injuries, waivers may be granted to the Letter requirements.
