BRUSSELS AMERICAN SCHOOL ADVISORY COMMITTEE

                                                                             15 September 2006

The Brussels American School Advisory Committee (BASAC) also serves as the Installation Advisory Committee (IAC). BASAC makes recommendations and advises the BAS Principal on school matters [policies, procedures, instructional programs and resources], and the USAG Brussels Commander on installation issues [physical school environment, student transportation security, school meals, medical services]. BASAC is comprised of three faculty representatives, three parent representatives, and one student representative. We encourage the community to attend our monthly meetings, generally held the first Thursday of the month at 1730 in the BAS Library. In an effort to effectively address issues raised by the community, we request an “Issue Form” be completed and provided to the BASAC Chairman prior to the meeting. BASAC points of contact are listed in the PTSO Student Directory, or by contacting the BAS Office.

We’re looking forward to an exciting 2006/2007 school year at BAS!

Sincerely,

Chairman
