Although her reporting date is 1 April, this date is not firm due to the absence of the Assistant Principal.  If the Principal must depart and the Assistant Principal has not yet returned, an Acting Principal will be appointed from the BAS staff.  A new permanent Principal will arrive no later than 1 August.

c.      This meeting was the last BASAC for the Principal.  She encouraged BASAC members to closely monitor plans for the upcoming new construction at BAS.  The BASAC will receive an update in April or May.

a.      Plans are almost final for the first Community Fan Bus trip to Alconbury on 28-29 March.  Discussion focused on duties/responsibilities of the designated Bus Attendant (for all trips) and Chaperone (for bus trips without parent supervision of students.)  Adult volunteers from the community will be needed to fill these positions with training provided by USAG Brussels officials.  An appeal was made to the USAG Commander for Bus Attendant support from USAG staff on overnight bus trips.  The issue will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

b.      Progress is ongoing to secure a permanent staff member for military ID card processing.  When in place, the ID card office will be open 9AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

c.      Mail room hours will expand in the next month as responsibility for the USAG Brussels mail service is transferred from the Air Force to the Army.  Normal hours for parcel pickup will be 9AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.  Normal hours for Finance Window will be 9AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
