SAT On-Line Registration Tips

Some of you have experienced difficulties while attempting to register for the SAT on the College Board’s website.   Depending upon your initial choices of SAT Reasoning or SAT Subject Tests, the screens may differ.   This document is not a step-by-step set of detailed instructions, but a guide to parts of the registration process that require special knowledge.   Here are three critical steps to processing your registration:

• Select You Test Center Location, click on the radio button to select Outside the U.S.

• 
  Select your current high school.   This is important.   If you miss this step, you can still register for the test, but you will be charged an additional $20.  
• Since we are a DoD entity, we do not advertise our information over open channels.   Our school name is not listed openly on purpose.   Click on the link Don’t see your school listed?   Search for it.
• You will now see a new pop-up window for searching.   In the section labeled Search by Code, enter 574-010 and click the Search button.
• Brussels American… should now appear in the section below.   Make sure to select it and then click the Select button.

   Select your “Test Center.”   This is where you will actually take the test.

• Click on the link labeled Search for another test center.
• You should now see a new pop-up window with a section similar to the image on the right.   Under Search By Code enter 56400 and click the Search button.
• International School of Brussels…ISB should now appear in the Search Results area.   Make sure to select it.
• Click the Select button.
• The pop-up window will disappear and you will be back at the registration page.   It is usually not necessary to select a second choice.
